Grant VPN permission on Android

Android

Android requires your permission before any app can create a VPN. The first time you tap connect in Pekpik VPN, Android shows a connection request; tap OK to allow it. If you tapped Cancel, just tap connect again and Android asks once more.

What you may see in the app

  • VPN permission is required before connecting.
  • Connection failed because Android VPN permission is not available. Grant VPN permission and retry.

Allow the connection request

  1. Open Pekpik VPN and tap the connect button on the home screen.
  2. Android shows a Connection request dialog for Pekpik VPN. Tap OK.
  3. Wait for the app to show that you’re connected. Android also shows a key icon in the status bar while a VPN is active.

If you see a permission error

If you cancel the request, Pekpik VPN shows “VPN permission is required before connecting.” Tap connect again and choose OK.

If the app says “Connection failed because Android VPN permission is not available. Grant VPN permission and retry.”, Android has taken the permission back, usually because another VPN app was turned on. Tap connect again in Pekpik VPN to request it again.

Another VPN app is set to always-on

Only one VPN can run at a time on Android. If another VPN app is set as Always-on VPN, turn that off in Android’s VPN settings first, then connect with Pekpik VPN.
