“Network unstable, switching node”
This message means Pekpik noticed your traffic stopped getting through and is moving you to another server in the same group. You don’t need to do anything while it switches. The app tries a limited number of servers, then asks you what to do if none of them work.
What you may see in the app
- Network unstable, switching node
- Switching node...
- Finding a stable route in the same section
- Network is unstable. Switching server...
- Switching server...
- … is unreachable. Trying …...
When you see it
During the switch the app shows a switching status instead of “disconnected”. When it finishes, you are connected to the new server.
- Right after connecting, if the connection check fails on the first server.
- While connected, if data stops coming back for a while, for example on a weak or congested network.
How the switch works
- It only picks servers from the same group you were using: VIP servers stay on VIP, free servers stay on free.
- It skips servers that recently failed, so it doesn’t keep retrying the same one.
- A server that failed is not hidden. You can still pick it from the list later.
What you see on each app
The status shows Switching node... or Network unstable, switching node, with Finding a stable route in the same section underneath.
Android
The home screen shows Switching server with Trying another server in the same group.... You may also see Network is unstable. Switching server... or the name of the server being tried.
Windows
The app shows Switching node... or Network unstable, switching node, then Switched automatically to and the new server’s name.
If it keeps happening
Frequent switching usually points to an unstable network on your side. Try another Wi-Fi network or mobile data. If the app runs out of servers to try, see “Tried N nodes automatically”.
