“Tried N nodes automatically”
Pekpik already switched servers automatically, and the route from your network to each of them was unstable. It doesn’t mean every server is down. Tap Retry to start again, or choose a server yourself, ideally in another country or region. If it keeps happening, check your own network.
What you may see in the app
- Tried … nodes automatically. The network path to these nodes is unstable right now.
- Tried … free nodes without a stable connection. Try again later or choose a node from the list.
- Automatically tried … server(s). The network route to them is unstable right now.
- Tried … node(s) automatically; the route from your network to these nodes is unstable.
What to do
- Tap Retry to start again from the server you chose.
- Or tap the button to choose another server, then pick one in a different country or region.
- If several attempts fail, turn the VPN off and check that your internet works. Try another Wi-Fi network or mobile data.
- If the problem continues, export diagnostic logs and email them to [email protected].
Why it happens
After connecting, Pekpik checks that traffic gets through. When it doesn’t, the app switches to other servers in the same group (VIP or free) before telling you. The message appears once those automatic switches are used up. Busy or lossy networks are the most common cause. See “Network unstable, switching node”.
Mac
The alert is titled Connection unstable, with Retry and Choose Another Node. If Pekpik was searching for a free server for you, you may instead see No free node available right now with the same two buttons.
Android
The dialog is titled Connection unstable, with Retry and Choose another server.
Windows
The dialog is titled Connection failed, with Retry and Choose another node.
