Where is Pekpik VPN on my Mac? (menu bar, no Dock icon)

Pekpik VPN for Mac runs from the menu bar at the top of your screen, so it doesn’t show an icon in the Dock. Click the Pekpik VPN icon in the menu bar to connect or disconnect. Choose Open Pekpik VPN in that panel for the full window with servers and account settings.

Use the menu bar panel

  1. Open Pekpik VPN from your Applications folder or Launchpad.
  2. Click the Pekpik VPN icon near the right end of the menu bar.
  3. Use Connect or Disconnect to control the VPN. If no server is selected yet, click Select a Server.
  4. At the bottom of the panel, choose Open Pekpik VPN (⌘O) for the main window, Preferences… (⌘,) for settings, or Quit Pekpik VPN (⌘Q) to quit.

Closing the window doesn’t quit the app

When you close the main window, Pekpik VPN keeps running in the menu bar. To quit it completely, use Quit Pekpik VPN in the menu bar panel. Quitting the app doesn’t disconnect the VPN; see Quitting the app doesn’t disconnect the VPN.

Can’t see the icon?

  • Make sure the app is running: open it again from Applications.
  • On a Mac with a notch or many menu bar icons, some icons can be hidden when the menu bar is full. Quit a few other menu bar apps or remove icons you don’t need, then look again.
