Hotel and airport Wi-Fi sign-in pages
Many hotel, airport and café networks show a sign-in or terms page before they give you internet access. A VPN can’t connect until that step is done. Disconnect Pekpik, join the Wi-Fi, complete the sign-in, check that websites load, then connect again.
Complete the network sign-in
- Disconnect Pekpik VPN.
- Confirm the network name with the venue, then join that Wi-Fi network.
- Wait for its sign-in screen. On iPhone, if it doesn’t appear, open the network’s More Info control and choose Join Network.
- Complete the network provider’s required sign-in or terms. Ask the venue about access charges or problems; a VPN does not replace this step.
- Check that ordinary websites load, then connect Pekpik VPN.
If the sign-in page keeps coming back
Auto-Join and Auto-Login are different settings. The network provider can still ask you to sign in again, for example after a time limit; check its access rules instead of assuming the VPN has failed. Choosing to stay on the network “Without Internet” keeps you on the Wi-Fi without completing internet access, so return to the sign-in flow if you need to get online.
What a VPN does and doesn’t do on public Wi-Fi
HTTPS encrypts your connection to a website, but it doesn’t prove the site is honest. A VPN is not a phishing detector either, so keep your device updated and use strong account protection. On a work-managed device, follow your IT team’s guidance; a personal VPN doesn’t replace your employer’s VPN.
