VPN drops after switching Wi-Fi or mobile data
iPhone & iPadUpdated
When you move between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or between two Wi-Fi networks, Pekpik reconnects to the same server on its own. A short pause while it reconnects is normal. If the VPN doesn’t come back, make sure Auto Reconnect is on, then disconnect and connect again.
What you may see in the app
- Network switched. Verifying VPN recovery...
- VPN is working normally after network switch.
- Network changed but VPN did not recover. Please reconnect VPN.
Turn on Auto Reconnect
On iPhone and iPad: Account tab > CONNECTION > Auto-Reconnect.
Notifications on iPhone
If you allow notifications, iPhone may tell you what happened after a network change:
- Network Changed: the app is checking that the VPN recovered.
- VPN Recovered: everything is working again. Nothing to do.
- VPN Recovery Failed: open Pekpik and connect again.
If the new network still doesn’t work
- Disconnect and connect again.
- If the new network is a hotel, airport or café Wi-Fi, complete its sign-in page first. See Hotel and airport Wi-Fi sign-in pages.
- If the connection is still unstable, choose another server from the server list.
